Description

A rare offering in the heart of Brookhaven Hamlet, this early colonial home, dating to circa 1740, carries with it nearly three centuries of history.

Originally built by the Swezey family and later relocated to its current setting on Locust Road, the home reflects a time when craftsmanship and simplicity defined the landscape.

Set on a quiet, tree-lined property, the residence is surrounded by mature plantings and open lawn, creating a sense of privacy and calm. The classic cedar shingle exterior, steep rooflines, and central chimney speak to its origins, while the interiors offer an opportunity to preserve, restore, or thoughtfully reimagine.

Moments from Bellport Village, the property places you within reach of shops, galleries, and waterfront amenities, while still feeling deeply rooted in the character of Brookhaven Hamlet.

A meaningful opportunity to own a piece of local history—where past and future meet.

There’s a quiet significance to this home. It’s not just about what it is today—it’s about what it’s been, and what the next owner chooses to make of it.
