Lucy Danziger, a longtime Bellport homeowner with a passion for real estate, is now holding her real estate license with Old Purchase Properties. “I love introducing people to the Bellport area, and they often come to love it and see why we think of this as a special place and uniquely welcoming community,” says Danziger. “This felt like a natural progression of what I do already.”
The former long-time Editor-in-Chief of Self magazine, and currently a writer, editor, and digital content creator, Lucy brings her experience in publishing and her knowledge of the local market to help clients successfully navigate their next real estate move.
She and her husband James have been part of the Bellport community for over 35 years. They bought their first home here in 1990, got married in the Village and raised two children who grew up spending summers and weekends in Bellport. Over the years, they have bought, rented, and sold multiple homes, gaining a deep understanding of the local market.
An avid outdoor sports enthusiast, Lucy loves biking, swimming, and running in and around Bellport. Most mornings she can be seen walking her dog in the Village. You may also spot her swimming in the Bay — each summer she and a handful of hearty Bellporters swim to Fire Island, just for fun.
Lucy and James are active supporters of the arts and culture. She is a member of the Bellport Brookhaven Historical Society and a supporter of local nonprofits, including The Boys & Girls Club, Friends of Bellport Bay, the South Country Education Foundation, and the Bellport Village Program Fund. Lucy slso serves as Communications Advisor to the Mayor.
Whether you are exploring your next move, looking for local insight, or hoping to share the Bellport lifestyle with others, Lucy is looking forward to connecting. She is thrilled to be working with the professionals at Old Purchase Properties, who share a dedication to the Village, its rich history, and robust future.
